As the new year begins,
Royell is now set to launch this service in several communities. Auburn now
has beta customers and will be followed by Waverly, Virden, Girard,
Farmersville, Palmyra, Carlinville, Shipman, Bunker Hill, Gillespie,
Litchfield, Hillsboro, Irving, Nokomis, and Raymond.
The coverage area will be a 7 mile radius from each
community with Motorola promising greater distances with firmware updates in
the near future. Download speeds up to 6 Mbps sustained will be offered.
(Don't confuse 'sustained' speeds with 'burst' speeds advertised by others.)
Most of the buildout in Macoupin and Montgomery County
is part of the State of Illinois funded Vince Demuzio Broadband network (VDBnet).
Additional communities are planned upon completion of the VDBnet
infrastructure. Watch for flyers and ads as we begin customer installations in
each community. Call our office at 217-965-3699 or 217-697-2333 for more
information.
